Gary W. Wilkes, 69, of Middlefield, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, September 23rd, 2018 at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born in Nitro, WV on March 9th, 1949 to the late John Aston and Mildred (Stewart) Wilkes. He later married Brenda Thomas in 1966.
He was an entrepreneur for many years as he was the owner/operator of B & G Graphic Arts in Middlefield with his wife, Brenda. Gary was also a certified electrician. He loved Elvis Pressley and his riding around in his 1985 red Chevy Camaro. Gary also enjoyed driving his “Mello Yellow” race car at Thompson Drag Raceway. He was a loving husband and father and will be dearly missed.
Gary is survived to mourn his loss by: his loving wife of 52 years, Brenda; daughters, Tracy Wolverton of Plano, TX, Trish Guzek of Middlefield, Tammy Wilkes of Burton; grandchildren, Zachary Guzek, London Walsh-Wilkes, Zoe Wolverton, Tehya Wilkes; great-grandchildren, Luna Stone, Nirvana Guzek; and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, John II, Paul, and James.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 5:00 P.M., FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28TH, 2018 AT CHRIST COVENANT CHURCH, 16406 KINSMAN RD., MIDDLEFIELD, OH 44062 with Pastor Mike Southern officiating. Family and friends will be received from 3:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
