Eldon T. Yoder, 90, of Worthington, IN, passed away peacefully at his daughter’s house in Parkman, OH Saturday afternoon, March 24th, 2018. He was born in Nappanee, IN on September 20th, 1927 to the late Eli and Malinda (Hochstetler) Yoder. Eldon later married Fannie Stutzman on January 5th, 1950.
He will be missed by: his loving wife of 68 years, Fannie; children, Fred (Ada Mae) Yoder, Barbara (Allen) Miller, Jerry (Cindy) Yoder, Sue (Andy) Shetler, Steve (Martha) Yoder, Rosemary (Larry) Gingerich, John (Miriam) Yoder, Kathy (Brian) Miller, Martha (Martin) Burkholder, Lora (Jonathan) Helmuth, Joas (Rosellen) Yoder; 84 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; 6 brothers; 6 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Eldon is preceded in death by: his parents; a stillborn daughter; 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 brother; and 1 sister.
Funeral Services were held at 9:30 A.M., Wednesday, March 28th, 2018 at the First Christian Church, in Linton, IN with Pastor Samuel Hochstetler, Pastor Nelson Garber, and Pastor Amzie Troyer serving as clergy. Pallbearers were Jesse Shetler, Keith Helmuth, Conrad Burkholder, Jerome Shetler, Lyle Helmuth, and Caleb Burkholder. Eldon’s final resting place is in the Worthington Christian Fellowship Cemetery, Worthington, IN.
