Earl D. “Skip” Reighard, 91, born on Dec. 9, 1927 in Johnstown, PA to parents, Earl G. and Blanche (Brown) Reighard, went to be with his Lord on June 11, 2019. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 38 years, Phyllis J. (Spory) Reighard.
Skip is survived by his children, Linda Glassburner, Richard (Helen) Reighard, Lois (George) Fekete, Margie (Ron) Ellis, John Reighard, Cindy (Cliff) Yenyo, and Paul Reighard; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Wanetta Dorchak, Deloras Ramsell, and Wanda (Joe) Smith; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Skip was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Thomas Glassburner; daughter-in-law, Kathy Reighard; sister, Valetta Wise; brothers-in-law, Byron Wise, Joseph Dorchak, and Thomas Ramsell.
Skip served in the U.S. Army Military Police in Germany from 1946 – 1949. He worked as a semi-truck driver most of his life; driving for the Kroger Co. and Troymill Wood Products. Skip also belonged to the fraternal group of professional drivers, Transport for Christ.
Friends and family will be received from 3:30-5:30 P.M., Wednesday, June 19th, 2019 at Christ Covenant Church, 16406 Kinsman Rd, Middlefield, OH 44062. A Memorial Service will follow at 5:30 P.M. with Military Honors and Pastor Mike Southern officiating. Inurnment will take place at Troy Cemetery at a later date.
