Dorothy Louise Lungmus

Dorothy Louise Lungmus, 92, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, September 2nd, 2017 at Judson Park. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on September 24th, 1924 to the late Bruno and Martha (Snyder) Lungmus.

Dorothy graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. and M.A. Degrees. She taught high school social studies in: Mt. Berry, GA; Skokie, IL; Briarcliff Manor, NY; and eventually Shaker Heights, OH, where she retired in 1984. Since retirement, Dorothy enjoyed volunteering at the Metroparks Zoo, Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and the Shaker Heights Historical Society. She was also very active in the Audobon Society of Greater Cleveland, Cleveland Council on World Affairs, and the Women's Community Foundation. Dorothy leaves behind many friends and her legacy will be greatly missed.
