Dorothy was a good traveling partner for me (Mildred). After we both retired from the Shaker Heights school system, we would occasionally go on trips together. After I moved to Lorain County, she would often come out to go on day trips together and do lunch. I'll miss her sense of adventure and keen intellect very much!

Ms. Lungmus admitted to us her class back in 1981 that she spent five hours in the evenings on school work. Her attention to detail was remarkable as was her veracity. She turned down a trip to visit China because she preferred Africa. Her profound understanding of global events and history continue, gentle readers, to impress and inspire me. I recall the worksheets that she provided us with that gave us an excellent general understanding of the nation's we studied. I ran into her a few years ago at the Cleveland Heights Public Library. We chatted. She also taught my sister who did not take to world affairs as did I. She told her that I was her best student. I am humbled and grateful.
