Donald P. Kuhn, 88, of Arcadia, FL (formerly of Chardon), passed away peacefully, Thursday evening, September 27th, 2018 at the Maple View Country Villas in Chardon. He was born in Rockford, OH on January 12th, 1930 to the late Leroy and Opal (Jackson) Kuhn.
He worked in maintenance at the TRW Valve Division location for many years. Donald also was the owner/operator of the High Life Café in Chardon during the 1970s and 1980s. He also enjoyed being a harness racing owner at Northfield Park as well as at other venues around the country. Upon retiring, Donald and his 2nd wife, Patricia (Kline) Kuhn, became snow birds until finally moving full time to Arcadia, FL in 2008.
Donald will be greatly missed by: his loving wife of 31 years, Patricia; children, Pam Fisher, Alicia Howe, Gary (Denise) Kuhn, Sandy McCloud, Bill Kuhn, Tim (Tammy) Kuhn, Chris Stivers, Kim Dowdle; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Charles (Jackie) Kuhn, Tom (Mara Beth) Kuhn, Rita Swagert, Judy (Phil) Lautzenheiser; and many friends. He is preceded in death by: his parents, 1st wife, Jeanette (Borgert) Kuhn; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.
A MEMORIAL MASS WILL BE HELD AT 10:00 A.M., SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2018 AT ST. MARY’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 NORTH STREET, CHARDON, OH.
