Diane "Dee" C. (Lasch) Kovary

Diane “Dee” C. Kovary (nee Lasch), 83, of Newbury, OH passed away peacefully at Holly Hill Nursing Home. She was born in Cleveland, OH on November 13th, 1935, daughter of the late Ray and Margaret (Jones) Lasch. Dee is now once again reunited with her loving husband of 62 years, Paul Kovary, who died September 7th, 2017.

She was a graduate of John Adams High School. Dee married Paul Kovary on August 31st, 1955 and they moved to Newbury in 1961. She was the co-owner and bookkeeper of Hawthorne Hill Landscaping for 40 years.

Dee will be missed by: her loving children, Deborah (Daryl) Hartshorn, Pamela (Bill) Cooper and Daniel (Justina) Kovary; six grandchildren, Victoria (Matt) Schwartz, Bryan (Amy) Murfello, Nicole Murfello, Christina Cooper, Justin Kovary, Jason Kovary; great-granddaughter, Liliana Eggleston; sisters, Allayne McVan, Karen (Joseph) Leckemby, Jane (Stan Malless) Kvetko; sister-in-law, Catherine Laubscher; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Paul; and brother-in-law, John Roger Kovary.

Family and friends will be received from 5-8 P.M., Tuesday, April 16th, 2019 at Best Funeral Home, 15809 Madison Rd., Middlefield, OH 44062. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL WILL BE HELD AT 10:00, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17TH, 2019 AT ST. HELEN’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 12060 KINSMAN RD., NEWBURY, OH with Father Jay McPhillips officiating.
