Daniel N. Troyer

Daniel N. Troyer, 87, of Middlefield Twp, entered into rest Wednesday morning, August 8th, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 13th, 1931 in Middlefield, the son of the late Noah D. and Mattie (Farmwald) Troyer.

Daniel grew up working on the farm and enjoyed playing baseball. On Nov. 21st, 1951 he married Susie Byler, and they’ve been together ever since. He was a farmer and factory worker and retired from Burton Rubber in 1995. Later in life, he enjoyed giving his grandchildren tractor rides and sharing his love of The Andy Griffith Show.

Daniel is survived by: his wife and loyal companion of 66 years, Susie; daughters Linda (Shank), Barb (Weaver), Karen (Detweiler) Carol (Byler) and Bonnie Troyer; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by: his daughter, Cathy Mullett; parents, Noah and Mattie Troyer; brother, Robert Troyer; and sister, Catherine Troyer.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 2 P.M., SATURDAY, AUGUST 11TH, 2018 AT MAPLE VIEW CHURCH, 14890 BURTON WINDSOR RD., BURTON, OH. Family and friends will be received from 12 P.M. until the time of service on Saturday. Daniel’s final resting place will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Burton Twp., OH.
