Daniel M. Detweiler, 84, of Mesopotamia, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, March 5th, 2019 at his home. He was born in Huntsburg, OH on December 25th, 1934 to the late Melvin R. and Sarah D. (Byler) Detweiler. Daniel is once again reunited with his loving wife, Sarah J. (Miller) Detweiler, who died September 19th, 2013. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He will be missed by: his loving children, Susie Detweiler, Melvin (Rosemary) Detweiler, Nancy (Andy) Miller, Katie (William) Miller, Henry (Susan) Detweiler, Erwin (Marie) Detweiler, Daniel (Betty) Detweiler, Reuben (Laura) Detweiler, Joseph (Laura) Detweiler, Owen (Ada) Detweiler, Andrew (Sara) Detweiler, Rachel (Lester) Yoder, Raymond (Susan) Detweiler, Freeman (Anna) Detweiler; 102 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers; 3 sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Daniel is preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Sarah; daughter, Saloma Detweiler; and 1 grandchild.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A.M., FRIDAY, MARCH 8TH, 2019 AT 8240 STATE ROUTE 534, MESOPOTAMIA, OH with Bishop Joe J. Bricker officiating. Daniel’s final resting place will be in Wilcox Road Amish Cemetery in Mesopotamia Twp. Visitation will be anytime until the time of service.
