Catherine Ann Therese Politzer (nee Hart), 99, of Burton Twp, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, December 12th, 2018 at her home. She was born in Cleveland, OH on January 12th, 1919 to the late James F. and Gertrude (Greening) Hart. Catherine is now reunited with her loving Lawrence Politzer, whom she married in San Antonio, TX on December 2nd, 1950.
She worked as a stenographer and secretary until she married Lawrence. Catherine enjoyed traveling as she visited Alaska, Ireland, Branson, Yosemite Park, Yellowstone Park, the West Coast, and most recently to Cape Cod, MA. She was also an active member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Parkman.
Catherine will be greatly missed by: children, Eric (Qinghuan) Politzer, Judith Politzer, Bruce Politzer, Brent Politzer, Susan Mullett, Thomas (Dawn) Politzer; grandchildren, Jason (Aimee) Gaenzle, Erin Politzer, Jennifer Politzer, Justin Politzer, Matthew Politzer; great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Mayberry; siblings, Rita M. Flanagan, Robert Hart; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Lawrence; daughter-in-law, Ellen Politzer; and many siblings.
A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL WILL BE HELD AT 11:00 A.M., MONDAY, DECEMBER 17TH, 2018 AT ST. EDWARDS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 16160 CENTER ST., PARKMAN, OH 44080. Family and friends will be received from 2:00 P.M. to 6 P.M. on Saturday, December 15th, at Best Funeral Home, 15809 Madison Rd., Middlefield and also Monday morning from 9 A.M. until the time of service at the Church. A luncheon will follow the graveside services. Catherine’s final resting place will be in Troy Twp Cemetery.
