Bette Jean Mlcoch, (nee Clarke), 91, of Middlefield, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, March 2nd, 2019 at Blossom Hill Care Center in Huntsburg, OH. She was born in Parkman, OH on March 26th, 1927 to the late Hansel and Gladys (Brown) Clarke.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Bette leaves her three daughters, Patricia (Dennis) Penkaty, Jodi (Tom) Wozniak, Sheila (Peter) Sayre; grandchildren, Joseph, Allen, Bob, Mike, Wade, Steve, Tom, Betsy; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her loving husband, Frank, who passed away in October 1991; her parents; 9 siblings; and her grandson, Tom. Bette graduated from Chardon High School in 1945.
She was a USO dancer during WWII, going though a pair of shoes each day while dancing with enlisted servicemen on leave. After marrying, she worked with her husband, Frank, in their auto body shop as a sander for many years. Bette enjoyed quilting, playing cards, reading, going to bingo, and playing slots at the casinos.
A GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 12:00 P.M., WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6TH, 2019 AT MAPLE HILL CEMETERY, 13480 AUBURN RD., MUNSON TWP., OH.
