Melvin J. Yoder

Melvin J. Yoder, 80, of Middlefield, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, April 1st, 2015 at University Hospitals of Cleveland. He was born in Holmes County on April 16th, 1934 to the late Jerry and Mary (Troyer) Yoder. Melvin later married Anna Schlabach on October 1st, 1964. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

He will be missed by: his loving wife of 50 years, Anna; children, David (Marian) Yoder, Lester (Emma) Yoder, Esther (Firman) Wengerd, Melvin (Barbara) Yoder, Edna Mae (Raymond) Troyer, Kathryn (Mervin) Miller, Marvin (Maria) Yoder; 45 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 1 brother; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Melvin is preceded in death by: his parents; first wife, Ella (Gingerich) Yoder; 3 grandchildren; 3 brothers; and 1 sister.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A.M., SATURDAY, APRIL 4TH, 2015 AT 14899 HAYES RD., MIDDLEFIELD TWP, OH with Bishop Mose J. Miller officiating. Visitation will be anytime until the time of service. Melvin's final resting place will be in Miller Cemetery, Huntsburg, OH.
