Melvin E. Miller

Melvin E. Miller, 83, of West Farmington, passed away peacefully at UH-Geauga Medical Center, early Tuesday morning, November 14th, 2017. He was born August 24th, 1934 in Middlefield, OH to the late Eli J. and Emma (Shetler) Miller. Melvin is now reunited with his loving wife of 59 years, Ada Y. (Yoder) Miller, who died in 2015. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

He will be greatly missed by: his loving children, Cynthia Ann (Ervin) Byler of Hillsboro, OH, Kathlyn Maria Gingerich of PA, Robert Daniel (Elvesta) Miller of KY, Mary Sue (Sam) Detweiler of KY, Kay Emma (Joe) Miller of KY, Mark Edward (Martha) Miller of KY, Melvin Ray (Ruth) Miller of West Farmington, OH, Andrew Jon (Sara Jane) Miller of Burton; 49 grandchildren; 102 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Melvin is preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Ada; son-in-law, William Gingerich; and 3 grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A.M., FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 17TH, 2017 AT 5181 ENSIGN RD., WEST FARMINGTON, OH with Minister Elmer L. Yoder officiating. Pallbearers will be Wayne Detweiler, Mark Weaver, Robert Hershberger, and Jacob Byler. Visitation will be anytime until the time of the service. Melvin's final resting place will be next to Ada in Troyer Cemetery, West Farmington, OH.
