Gary H. Hein

Gary H. Hein, 77, of Middlefield Twp, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, January 4th, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lorain, OH on October 3rd, 1938 to the late Henry "Hank" and Ellen (Fitch) Hein. Gary worked as a wire weaver at W.S. Tyler Co. of Mentor for 22 years. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting coon, rabbit, and squirrels with his beagles. Gary also spent many hours listening to country music and fishing. His greatest joy, however, was playing with his grandchildren and spending time with his family. Gary was an active member at Lighthouse UMC in Claridon.

He will be missed by: his loving wife of 37 years, Patricia "Pat" Hein; children, Lori (Doug) Bachand, Jim (Celeste) Hein, Faron Hein, Jason (Emilee) Hein, Matthew (Kim) Hein; daughter-in-law, Sonja Hein; 21 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sandra Demchik, Bonnie (Ron Leyman) Heath, Susan (Stu) Robertson. Gary is also survived by Randi Owen and family along with many friends. He is preceded in death by: his parents; first wife, Barbara Jean (Latimer) Hein; and children, Debbie Rounds and David Hein.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE AT 11:00 A.M., THURSDAY, JANUARY 7TH, 2016 AT LIGHTHOUSE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 14780 MAYFIELD RD, EAST CLARIDON, OH 44033. Interment will follow in Claridon Center Cemetery. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 6th, 2015 at Best Funeral Home, 15809 Madison Rd., Middlefield, OH 44062. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made in Gary's honor to St. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
