Eli E. Troyer

Eli E. Troyer, age 64, of Mesopotamia, passed away, Monday morning, July 31st, 2017 at Hillcrest Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of 41 years to Alma (Hershberger) Troyer.  He was born in Grove City, PA on December 29, 1952 to the late Eli J. and Amelia (Byler) Troyer. Eli enjoyed fishing and horse sales. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and Bishop of the Mesopotamia Northeast District.

He will be missed by: his loving wife, Alma; children, Linda Mae (Melvin) Miller, Steven Lee (Sally) Troyer, Marlene (Reuben) Burkholder, Eli Jr. (Malinda) Troyer, Aden (Nancy) Troyer, Amelia (Robert) Miller, James (Marianne) Troyer, Lucinda (John) Kauffman, Ella (Henry) Yoder, Amanda Troyer, Saralyn Troyer, and Leon Troyer; 49 grandchildren; 2 brothers, 6 sisters, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Eli is preceded in death by: his parents, 1 brother, 1 sister, and daughter, Barbie Troyer.   

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 9:30 A.M., THURSDAY, AUGUST 3RD, 2017 AT 4421 DONLEY RD., MESOPOTAMIA, OH with Minister Jake D. Miller officiating. Pallbearers will be Freeman Wengerd, Kenny Miller, Andy Miller, and William Miller. Visitation will be anytime until the time of service.
