Earl Winton Moffatt

Earl Winton Moffatt, 92, of Troy Twp, entered eternal rest early Friday morning, March 24th, 2017 at Burton Health Care Center. He was born in Toronto, Canada to the late Dwight and Ella (Boucher) Moffatt.

He served in the Canadian Navy conducting escort duty in the North Atlantic Ocean during World War II. After returning home, Earl began a professional hockey career, playing for the Los Angeles Ramblers and the Akron Americans. He then coached youth hockey for many years.

Earl will be greatly missed by: his loving wife of 18 years, Susan (Seliga) Moffatt; children, Robin (Bill) Boyd, Rand (Burton) Wiseman, Royal Moffatt, Pamela Fox, Bryce (Joeann) Vasko, Timothy (Kelly) Vasko, Dayle (Mike) Skocic, Ruth (Kenny) Skocic; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, June Moffatt, Norma Thompson, Robert Moffatt; and many friends. He is preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Kenneth Moffatt; and sister, Anita Moffatt.
