Dexter "Rube" Dotson Jr.

Dexter "Rube" Dotson Jr., 56, of Garrettsville, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, October 22nd, 2016 at UH-Portage Medical Center in Ravenna. He was born in Chardon, OH on June 18th, 1960 to Dexter and Bobbie J. (Bice) Dotson Sr. Dexter attended Newbury High School and worked at various rubber factories since the age of 17. He was diehard Cleveland Browns fan, and also enjoyed fishing, drawing, Christmas time, the Cleveland Indians, kids, and tending to his garden where he grew red roses, mums and large tomatoes.

He will be deeply missed by: his daughter, Tamara L. Laning; mother, Bobbie J. Dotson, sisters, Deborah S. Lang and Sandra Lynn Reighard; granddaughter, Kayla Leigh Miller; 3 nephews, 1 niece; 3 great-nieces; 2 great-nephews; and many friends. Dexter is preceded in death by his father, Dexter Dotson Sr.

A GATHERING OF FRIENDS AND FAMILY WILL BE HELD AT A LATER DATE IN MUNN ROAD CEMETERY, NEWBURY TWP, OH.
