David J. Burgard

David John Burgard, 63, of Hartsgrove, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, September 10th, 2017 at Manorcare of Mayfield Heights. He was born in Lackawanna, NY on September 27th, 1953 to John F. and Dolores (Weides) Burgard.

He thoroughly enjoyed life as he loved spending time and chatting with family and friends. David served as a volunteer fireman at the Thompson Fire Department for the past 20 years. He was a lifelong NASCAR fan and also enjoyed decorating for Christmas, as well as tinkering with different things he could find at garage sales.

David will be greatly missed by: his loving companion for 25 years, Jeanne MacLaughlin; children, Kelly Mae (Terry Sr.) Andrews, Kristie Jo (Vincent) Bowen, Rhonda (Paul) Modzelewski; Randy (fiancee, Shannon Vocca) Duffield; many grandchildren; 2 brothers; 1 sister; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 11:00 A.M., TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH, 2017 AT MAPLE GROVE CEMETERY, 16337 THOMPSON RD., THOMPSON, OH 44086. The family invites all friends and family to come share memories and to see David's final ride.
